Ed Lawrence has more than 20 years experience in the corporate recruiting field. He is particularly well qualified in corporate human resources, having held positions as Technical Recruiter, Senior Industrial Relations Analyst, Senior Employment Specialist, Regional Recruiting Manager, District Personnel Consultant, and Director of Human Resources. Ed’s experience includes staff and senior management positions with such leading firms as Digital Equipment Corporation (DEC), NCR Corporation, Internet Dynamics, Inc., and Interactive Systems Corporation (formerly a Kodak Company).
He has been a
full time professional Contract Recruiter since 1985. See

As a human resources professional and consultant, he has been responsible for managing large scale employment programs and providing recruiting support for software
developers, software consultants, engineering, financial and accounting, sales, and
general administrative. He has filled positions at all levels including
senior executive, exempt, and nonexempt positions. "It's my life's
work. Ego is not a factor as no position is too large or too small to receive my

Ed has an expert level of knowledge in managing and conducting technical/engineering, financial, and accounting recruitment, on-campus relations, and diversity hiring programs in highly complex, fast paced, technology environments.
He is an accomplished internet recruiter and shares his knowledge with staff at

He holds a Master of Science Degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and a B.Sc. Degree with honors from Grambling State University.
He is thoroughly familiar with various candidate sourcing methodologies, including direct sourcing, internetworking, targeted mail, career fairs, search firms, advertising,
diversity, and employee referral programs. He has developed and implemented comprehensive staffing plans, conducted numerous training seminars, and extensively used
computer applications to assist in the development and tracking of candidates.
Ed’s feature-length classic entitled,
“Guidelines for Hiring A Contract Recruiter” appeared in the October 1988 issue
of Personnel Journal Magazine (now Workforceonline.Com). He regularly speaks to groups on the subjects of Internet
Recruiting, How to Negotiate Salary, and creative funding for corporate staffing
departments.

Contractor, the bi-monthly business magazine for contractors and
consultants.
